In an effort to unite the motorcycle sportbike community, AMA Dragbike offers
deep discounts and special events to motorcycle clubs. The purpose of this program
is to expand and strengthen the sportbike community by connecting like-minded
people and to introduce street clubs to the world of motorcycle drag racing.
AMA Dragbike also offers a safe, controlled environment for the more high-performance
members of your club. Any street-legal motorcycle can be entered in our entry-level
bracket racing class, Street ET. If you have ever wanted to run your bike down
a national event drag strip, now is your chance (Certain safety requirements
apply).
Here is how the program works:
Clubs must register
with AMA Dragbike.
Discounts are
offered for advance purchase of tickets with a minimum of 8 tickets
A club-discounted
one-day ticket is $15 (normally $20)
A club-discounted
weekend ticket is $25 (normally $35)
Unused tickets
will be refunded to the club representative (providing the 8 ticket minimum
is met.)
Children 2-12
are $5 per day, Children under 2 are free
All club members
will be required to show proof of membership at the ticket gate. Membership
cards, patches and embroidered club logos on jackets and vests are suitable
means of proof of membership.
To enter
the Street ET class:
The entry fee
is $50, payable at the entry gate. Club members with a registered group get
the AMA Dragbike temporary membership fee waived (this also serves as a weekend
gate entry pass)
Any make and
model of streetbike can enter.
All bikes must
be equipped with a lanyard kill switch (easily installed at the track)
All riders
must have a Snell 2005 or better helmet, full-fingered leather gloves and
over-the-ankle leather boots.
Bike must have
a DOT Rated Tire.
A zip up leather
jacket is required. For bikes running over 120 mph, riders must have a zip-together
or one-piece leather racing suit.
If your bike
and safety equipment does not pass tech your moeny will be refunded to you.
All riders
must have a valid motorcycle driver’s license. For Bikes under 10.00
seconds the rider must have a competition AMA Dragbike, NHRA or AHDRA license.
